Adoption Information

Adoption Process

  1. To start the adoption process please fill out the adoption application using the link above.
  2. Once the adoption application is filled out, Rusty’s Rescue Ranch will do a vet check and then reach out to schedule a virtual home visit.
  3. During the home visit you can expect to show the common living spaces of your house as well as your outside area. This is also a time for you to ask and questions and for our adoption coordinator to talk more in depth with you about the animal you’re interested in adopting.
  4. After the virtual home visit, if approved, our adoption coordinator will schedule a meet and greet with you and the animal you’re interested in adopting. At the meet and greet you may adopt the animal and take him/her home with you.
  5. All animal records are available for your view after the adoption contract is signed. Please sign up for a petlover account through petestablished using the email you provided on your application, if anything is missing please contact; information@rustysrescueranch.com. If you have any technical difficulties please contact the help support for petestablished.

Commonly Asked Questions

What is your adoption fee?

Our adoption fee vary based on animal and desirability. Our puppies are up to date on vaccines and have been dewormed at an age appropriate level. Our adult animals are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and on preventives. All adult animals are altered or scheduled to be altered in the area they are being fostered.

Do I need to have a fenced in yard?

We do not require all adopters have a fenced in yard. A fenced in yard may be required to adopt certain animals depending on their needs.

What vet care will my adoptive pet have had?

For animals, over six months, they are spayed/neutered or scheduled to altered, and micro-chipped. They will be up to date on shots, on heart worm prevention, and on flea and tick medication.

For puppies, under six months, they will be up to date on shots and will have been dewormed if necessary. Puppies also come with a spay/neuter voucher and our post adoption coordinator will follow up to make sure that our adopters follow the adoption agreement and spay/neuter their puppy.

How do I find your animals that are available for adoption?

All of our adoptable animals are listed on Petfinder and our “Animals Available for Adoption” website tab. We do have other animals that may not be available yet because they are waiting to be spayed/neutered or need some time to decompress in their foster home. If you’re interested in a certain age, breed, or size, and don’t see an available animal that fits your needs, still fill out an adoption application and we’ll be in touch once we have an animal that fits those needs.
