We can not save animals without fosters! We are a foster based organization and cannot save an animal from the shelter without having a foster home for the animal to go to. Please read the information below and fill out the link if you’re interested in fostering.
Fostering; Important Information
- Rusty’s Rescue Ranch pays for everything your foster animal needs. This includes food, supplies, and medical care.
- You are not responsible for finding an adoptive home for your foster. Rusty’s Rescue Ranch does all the networking needed to find your foster an adoptive home, as well as sets up meets and greets after conducting adopter screenings.
- If you are interested in fostering to adopt or end up wanting to adopt your foster that can also be discussed.
- The average time to have a foster dog depends on the age and breed of the foster. Typically, puppies take about two weeks to get adopted while full grown dogs take about a month. Pitbulls and dogs with medical needs may take longer to get adopted.
- We always need short term fosters (48 hours to a week) so if you’re not interested in long term fostering, we could still use your help!
- After submitting a foster application, Rusty’s Rescue Ranch will reach out to you to set up a virtual home visit where we will answer any questions you may have and explain the fostering process. By filling out the foster application you are not agreeing to foster an animal, just expressing interest.

The Supply Form makes sure we send the correct supplies for your foster. The Adoptive Home Form gives our coordinator the information she needs to match your foster with an amazing forever home.
